The time-saving cooking principle of microwave pressure cooker

Jun.16, 2026
The microwave specific pressure cooker combines the advantages of microwave rapid heating and pressure stewing, and can achieve the effect of "half an hour soup cooking" in a regular microwave oven. The lid of the pot is equipped with a pressure relief valve and a sealing ring, forming a closed cavity inside. Microwaves cause water molecules to vibrate and generate heat, while the pressure increases the boiling point of water, making the food softer and more tender.

When using, three safety guidelines should be followed: first, strictly follow the instructions to add water, insufficient water will cause dry burning; Secondly, at the end of cooking, it is necessary to let it rest and release pressure, and the lid cannot be forcefully opened; Thirdly, metal parts (such as some valve cores) cannot be placed separately, and it is necessary to ensure that the entire pot is made of microwave compatible materials.

Suitable ingredients for this pot include difficult to cook foods such as beans, beef brisket, and brown rice. Compared to traditional pressure cookers, it does not require a stove and heats more evenly, but it should be noted that the microwave power should not exceed 800W, otherwise it may damage the sealing ring.
