Japan's mass cooperation

Jun.22, 2026

Project Background

This collaboration was with Volkswagen Japan. The client planned to customize a batch of gifts that combined practicality and brand display for brand promotion and customer appreciation. After evaluation, the client ultimately selected a microwave-safe sandwich griddle as the medium—a product with high daily usage frequency, safe materials, suitable for home kitchens, and aligned with Volkswagen's "close to everyday life" philosophy.

Customization Solution

The entire customization revolved around Volkswagen's brand visual identity, covering the product itself, core components, and packaging:
1. Product Appearance: The griddle's overall color scheme uses Volkswagen's standard colors to ensure visual consistency.
2. Exterior Logo: The Volkswagen logo is molded on the front of the product using a die-stamping process, integrally formed with the product casing.
3. Inner Aluminum Plate: Food-grade aluminum plate is used, custom-embossed with the Volkswagen logo and classic Volkswagen model outlines. This process uses a die-stamping technique to create a clear and sharp image that integrates seamlessly with the aluminum plate, maintaining its original appearance even after long-term use and multiple washes.
4. Color Box Packaging: The color box design follows Volkswagen's simple and elegant style, featuring a customized logo and brand elements to ensure consistent brand identity from unboxing to use.
The entire product, from its exterior to its interior, from the product itself to its packaging, seamlessly integrates Volkswagen's corporate culture and brand identity.

Key Processes

The key processes involved in this project include: stamping and embossing of aluminum sheets (ensuring pattern accuracy and durability), mold embossing of plastic parts (the logo is integrally molded with the shell to avoid the risk of later detachment), and injection molding and color matching of plastic parts (color difference controlled within acceptable limits). All materials must comply with relevant Japanese regulations for food contact materials to ensure safe use in microwave ovens.

Delivery and Feedback

After on-time delivery, Volkswagen Japan accepted and confirmed the samples. The baking tray was used as a gift, and the feedback was positive. This collaboration also validated our company's delivery capabilities in the field of customized automotive brand gifts—from design fidelity and process implementation to delivery management, all met the client's expectations.

Characteristics of Automotive Industry Gifts

1. Frequency of Use and Brand Exposure
Microwave sandwich makers are everyday kitchen items with high usage frequency. Each use exposes the Volkswagen logo and car model image to the product. Compared to one-time promotional items, these practical items maintain brand contact for a longer period.
2. Applicable Gift Scenarios
Japanese car dealerships have a continuous need for gifts in the following situations:
As a delivery gift when a new car is delivered
Customer appreciation events
Holiday greetings
Souvenirs for brand experience events
3. Alignment with Brand Image
Volkswagen's brand positioning is "providing high-quality products for the masses." As a gift, the sandwich maker is an everyday practical item, understated, aligning with Volkswagen's pragmatic and reliable brand image. The texture of the aluminum inner liner also relates to the metallic materials used in the automotive industry.
